Psychologists who are dully registered with the Ordre des psychologues du Quebec are authorized to use part of the Ordre's logo on their business cards, on their documents, in their advertisements and on the Internet to indicate their status of member.  However, they must follow certain rules regarding the layout and usage of this logo.

First and formost, in order to avoid any confusion between the corporate identity of the Ordre and the identification of its members, psychologists are only authorized to use the visual representation of the Ordre (i.e. the square with the "psy" symbol), as illustrated below :

Authorized users

All members on the membership roll of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec ("psychologists") are authorized to use the Order’s logo with the sole purpose of indicating that they are members of the Order.

Member psychologists who present, display, or advertise their services under a company name that does not include their first and last names may use the logo only if their name is included on the same document or design. The expression "Member of the O.P.Q." or "Member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec" must be placed next to the Order's logo.

A group of psychologists (under a contract of service or any other legal form of organization) who present, display or advertise their services under a company name may not use the logo, unless the first and last names of all of the psychologists are included in the same document or design. The expression "Members of the O.P.Q." or "Members of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec" must be placed next to the Order's logo.

However, on business cards and stationary items used exclusively by one of the psychologists in the group, only the first and last name of that psychologist is required. The expression "Member of the O.P.Q." or "Member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec" must be placed next to the Order's logo.

Any other individual, corporate entity, group or association wishing to use the Order’s logo must submit a written request for authorization to the Order’s secretary general.

Confusion and false representation

Authorized users may not use the Order’s logo in a way that falsely implies that:
1) they are an executive, employee, representative or agent of the Order;
2) they are a subdivision, subsidiary or other integral part of the Order;
3) they themselves, their qualifications, ideas and opinions, products or services, or the groups to which they belong have received any type of endorsement, validation, approval or recognition from the Order.

Revocation of authorization

If an authorized user does not follow the conditions for use of the logo, the Order’s secretary general may revoke the authorization and exercise other legal measures as provided for in the applicable laws.
