Under the Act to amend the Professional Code and other legislative provisions in the field of mental health and human relations (Bill 21), the Ordre des psychologues du Québec is responsible for issuing and managing psychotherapists' permits. While Bill 21 was passed by the National Assembly on June 19, 2009, it will come into force in stages. The conditions for obtaining a psychotherapist's permit will be set by the Office des professions by regulation within the next few months.
