Request for an Inquiry

You can contact the Syndic's Office of the Order if you require more information about the work accomplished by a psychologist or the honoraries that he-she has charged you.  Sometimes, inquiring by phone or by email about the obligations of all the members of the Order may provide useful and helpful in deciding whether to present or not a request for an inquiry or to file an application for conciliation of an account.

Please note that when filing for an application for conciliation of an account, the account in question must have been paid within a 45 days period or must be ask for and not have been paid yet.

After going through that process, if you believe that the psychologist has violated his or her duties and obligations, you may ask the Syndic's Office to hold an inquiry or file for an application for conciliation of an account.

Request for the holding of an inquiry

You can submit a request for an inquiry to the Syndic's Office by filling out the Request for the Holding of an Inquiry form and then sending it by mail, by email at syndic@ordrepsy.qc.ca, or by fax at 514-738-7303.  Please include in your request the name of the patient, the name of the concerned psychologist and the object of your request as well as your name, address, phone number and email address (if any).

In our Process of Inquiry by the Syndic's Office document, you can find all the information related to that process, the implications for you and the syndic responsible for this inquiry, the results that might come from this process and the different recourses available to you.
