Use of the Title

Since the public already associates psychologists and doctors with the practice of psychotherapy, they will not be required to use the title of “Psychotherapist” when Bill 21 comes into force.

Any other professional must use their first professional title before the title of psychotherapist, for example “registered nurse psychotherapist”. This way the public will know that this professional is a registered nurse who practices psychotherapy.
