If you are thinking about suicide and require immediate professional help, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
At any time (24 hours a day, 7 days a week), you can speak to a counsellor by calling 1-866-APPELLE, texting 535353 or using the chat service on suicide.ca. Counselors can, if necessary, refer you to a crisis center.
Our Find Help tool lists psychologists and licensed psychotherapists who can see individuals with suicidal thoughts by appointment. They are not available to respond to a crisis requiring immediate assistance.
